A word about photos...
Plastic surgery photos are a brief overview of the results of plastic surgery. Photos are taken at various stages after surgery --some early on, only a few weeks afterward; while others are taken more than a year after a surgical procedure. It is important to understadn what you are seeing in before and after photos. Here is a brief tutorial on photo results.
Most often the photo on the left is the "before" and the photo on the right is the "after"
Their are generally 5-6 views taken of every patient before and after surgery. They are listed as follows:
- Frontal - front view
- Laterals - left and right side of the face
- Obliques - left and right 3/4 view of the face
- Base view - view of the bottom of the nose - with the head tilted back showing the nostrils
the base view shows use how straight or crooked the septum (the cartilage in the center of the nose)
